Why Complete Roofing Systems Acquired Bauer Specialty in Erie, PA

Growth is about more than expanding into new areas. For Complete Roofing Systems, it is about finding the right people, building stronger teams, and continuing to provide homeowners with the level of service they expect when making an important investment in their home.

That is a big part of why Complete Roofing Systems acquired Bauer Specialty, a well-established roofing and exterior services company based in Erie, Pennsylvania.

We previously shared the news that Bauer Specialty joined the Complete Roofing Systems family. But this acquisition is about much more than bringing two companies together. It represents an opportunity to combine local experience, talented teams, additional resources, and a shared commitment to taking care of customers throughout Erie and Northwest Pennsylvania.

Why Bauer Specialty Was the Right Fit for Complete Roofing Systems

When considering growth opportunities, finding a company that shares our values is extremely important.

Bauer Specialty has served the Erie and Lake Erie region for more than 25 years, building relationships with homeowners and businesses throughout the community. The company provides roofing, gutters, insulation, storm damage services, and other exterior solutions.

More importantly, Bauer built its reputation around many of the same principles that guide Complete Roofing Systems: quality workmanship, dependable service, strong communication, and taking care of the customer.

That made Bauer Specialty a natural fit.

Instead of simply expanding into Erie, Complete Roofing Systems had an opportunity to join forces with an established local company that already understood the community, the homes, and the unique weather challenges found throughout the Lake Erie region.

Today, Bauer Specialty is part of Complete Roofing Systems while continuing to serve the Erie community with the Bauer name, local team, and commitment customers have come to know.

Strengthening Our Presence in Erie, PA

Erie has already been an important market for Complete Roofing Systems.

Our team has provided roofing and gutter services in Erie, PA for homeowners dealing with everything from aging roofing systems to storm damage, gutter problems, and the effects of Northwest Pennsylvania's demanding weather.

Bringing Bauer Specialty into the CRS family allows us to strengthen that presence even further.

Bauer's decades of experience in the Erie area provide valuable local knowledge, while Complete Roofing Systems brings additional roofing resources, systems, support, and an established regional operation.

Together, the companies are better positioned to serve homeowners throughout Erie County and surrounding Northwest Pennsylvania communities.

Local Experience Matters in the Lake Erie Region

Anyone who owns a home near Lake Erie understands how demanding the weather can be.

Heavy lake-effect snow, strong winds, hail, freezing temperatures, ice dams, and repeated freeze-and-thaw cycles can all take a toll on a home's roofing and exterior systems.

Those conditions make local experience especially valuable.

A roofing system in Northwest Pennsylvania needs to be designed and installed with those conditions in mind. Homeowners also need a contractor who understands how roofing, gutters, attic ventilation, insulation, and drainage can work together to help protect a home.

Complete Roofing Systems already has extensive experience helping homeowners with storm damage and roofing problems in Erie. Bauer Specialty adds decades of additional experience working specifically throughout Erie and the Lake Erie region.

Bringing those teams together creates an even deeper pool of local knowledge and experience.

What Complete Roofing Systems Brings to Bauer Specialty

One of the biggest benefits of the acquisition is the additional resources available to Bauer Specialty and its customers.

Complete Roofing Systems has built a regional operation serving communities throughout Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York. Our team specializes in residential roofing, commercial roofing, storm restoration, and gutter systems.

CRS is also a GAF Master Elite® contractor and a member of the GAF President's Club, reflecting our commitment to ongoing training, quality installation practices, and high standards of customer service.

By becoming part of Complete Roofing Systems, Bauer gains access to a larger organization, additional operational support, expanded resources, and a broader team of experienced roofing and exterior professionals.

The goal isn't to change what made Bauer successful.

It's to give the Bauer team even more resources to continue doing what they do best.

What Bauer Specialty Brings to Complete Roofing Systems

The benefits go both ways.

Bauer Specialty brings more than 25 years of experience serving Erie and the surrounding region. That includes extensive knowledge of local homes, local weather conditions, and the exterior challenges homeowners face throughout Northwest Pennsylvania.

Bauer also brings additional capabilities that complement the services offered by Complete Roofing Systems.

In addition to roofing and storm restoration, Bauer provides gutter and insulation solutions that allow our combined organization to look beyond just one part of the home.

That is particularly important in our climate.

A roof may be the home's first line of defense, but gutters, drainage, ventilation, and insulation can all play a role in protecting the structure and improving its performance.

By bringing the expertise of both companies together, we can take a more complete approach to helping homeowners protect their properties.

What Does the Bauer Specialty Acquisition Mean for Customers?

For existing Bauer Specialty customers, one of the most important things to understand is that Bauer isn't disappearing.

The Bauer Specialty name remains, and the company continues serving Erie-area homeowners as part of Complete Roofing Systems.

Customers can still expect the local experience, workmanship, and customer service that helped Bauer build its reputation throughout Erie.

What's different is the organization behind it.

Bauer customers now benefit from the resources and support of a larger regional company, while CRS customers benefit from the additional experience and capabilities Bauer brings to the team.

It's two experienced organizations working toward the same goal: providing homeowners with dependable exterior solutions and a great customer experience.

Expanding Our Ability to Serve Northwest Pennsylvania

The acquisition also strengthens our ability to serve communities beyond the city of Erie.

Homeowners throughout Erie County and the surrounding region face many of the same roofing challenges, particularly homes exposed to lake-effect weather.

Our combined teams can provide roofing and exterior services throughout communities such as Erie, Harborcreek, North East, Fairview, Girard, Edinboro, Waterford, McKean, Corry, and other areas across Northwest Pennsylvania.

For Complete Roofing Systems, this isn't simply about covering a larger map.

It's about building the team and infrastructure necessary to provide responsive, professional service throughout that map.

Two Companies With One Commitment to Customers

Complete Roofing Systems and Bauer Specialty each built their businesses by earning the trust of homeowners.

That's ultimately what made this acquisition make sense.

Both companies believe homeowners deserve clear communication, dependable workmanship, quality products, and a contractor who stands behind the work they perform.

Bringing Bauer Specialty into the Complete Roofing Systems family allows us to build on those shared values while combining the strengths of both organizations.

Bauer brings decades of Erie-area experience.

Complete Roofing Systems brings the resources and support of a growing regional roofing organization.

Together, we're building an even stronger team for homeowners throughout Erie, Northwest Pennsylvania, and the greater Lake Erie region.
